Howard Hughes Corporation recently announced their newest addition to the Kakaako area, after getting approval from the Hawaii Community Development Authority (HCDA).
Victoria Place, located at the former site of the Ward Warehouse retail complex, will have 350 residential units, 15,590 square feet of open space at the ground level, and 64,105 square feet of recreational space. There will be 137 one-bedroom units, 146 two-bedroom units and 77 three-bedroom units.
There will not be any retail space, since the tower would be integrate with Victoria Ward Park, directly below. The building will be located across from Kewalo Basin, between Waiea and a park.
In order to get the development permit, the Hawaii Community Development Authority is requiring the developer to build 44 affordable units at another location in Kakaako.
Sales should start at in early December 2019, the completion of construction is to be determined.
Prices range from the low $1M range for the 1 bedroom units to the $5M range for ocean facing 3 bedroom units.
