Noelani Elementary School

Noelani Elementary School serves 437 from Kindergarten through Grade 5. It embraces Hawaii’s standards-based system, and provides its students access to high expectations, a rigorous curriculum, integrated technology programs, and effective teaching and assessment practices. Parents commend the teachers for incorporating hands-on projects, field trips, and extracurricular activities that their children enjoy to build solid foundational knowledge. Based on state test scores, Math proficiency at Noelani is79%, higher than the state average of 48%. English proficiency is 75%, also significantly higher than the state average of 50%. All the teachers at this school have at least 3 years of teaching experience.

Manoa Elementary School

Manoa Elementary School serves 541 students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 5. Formally known as Moanalua Intermediate School, Moanalua Middle School (MMS) is located on the island of Oahu, about eight miles west of the capital city of Honolulu, HI. It serves 814 students in Grades 7 and 8. MMS reflects the economic and ethnic diversity of the Moanalua community – approximately 30% of the student population are dependents from all branches of the military, 28% are qualified for free or reduced meals, 8% receive Special Education services, and 4%  receive English Language Learner (ELL) services. English proficiency at this school is 76%, higher than the state average of 49%. Math proficiency is also comparatively high at 62%, while the state average is 37%.

Moanalua High School has a total enrollment of nearly 2000. Its 4-year high school graduation rate is 95%, significantly higher than the state average of 83%. ACT participation rate at this school is 89%, the same as the state level. ACT college readiness rate is 53%, while the state average is 39%. At MHS, 74% of its students are proficient in English and 44% in Math. Both rates are higher compared to the state averages, which are 57% and 31%, respectively.

Kalani High School

Kalani High School, located on Kalanianaʻole Highway in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, serves 1,331 students.
